"CovidInArea" offers maximal protection of user privacy to keep safe distancing from Covid-infected areas. Employing privacy by design principles, the app requires no user registration. It collects no personal information besides GPS locations, which are never shared to our server or stored locally. Being fully distributed and private, the app does not maintain any server to collect user information or data.

Information you provide: GPS locations are retrieved from your own device. The GPS locations are solely for display on map (by using Google service and Leaflet JavaScript library) and assessment of proximity risk even when the app is closed or not in use. No location data is not shared with our server or stored locally.

Updates: We will update this privacy policy as needed so that it is current, accurate, and as clear as possible. Your continued use of the app confirms your acceptance of our updated Privacy Policy.
